Die 22-jährige Dayana Mendoza aus Venezuela ist zur schönsten Frau der Welt gekürt worden. Beim Miss-Universe-Wettbewerb in Vietnam stach das Model aus Caracas in der Endrunde 14 Mitbewerberinnen klar aus. Unter dem Jubel des Publikums erhielt sie die Ehrenkrone mit 555 weißen Diamanten.
