Erdbebenmelder

Ihr wisst, ich interessiere mich für Naturgewalten. So stieß ich gestern by accident auf ein FF3-ready-Addon, das an sich völlig nutzlos ist, jedoch meine Neugierde stillt, wann und wo Erdbeben in welcher Stärke auftreten. Hier gibt’s das Addon.

Wen das NOCH weitergehender interessiert, der kann sich die haargenauen Daten zu Erdbeben auch hier ansehen und diverse Feeds dazu abonnieren. Und hier kann man auch den Earthquake Notification Service abonnieren.

Interessant finde ich die Tatsache, daß alle paar Minuten auf der Welt relativ starke Erdbeben auftreten, welche aber nahezu alle in Gebieten stattfinden, in denen kaum oder gar keine Menschen zivilisiert sind. Das letzte Beben war z.B. in Süd-Sumatra, Indonesien, um 12:01 Uhr, Stärke 5,1. Diese Stärke würde uns in Deutschland schon ganz schön aus den Socken heben.

Interessant, obgleich auch etwas traurig, ist auch diese Liste.
