So far this day was quite a nightmare to friskyRadio & LIGHTWORKS lovers. Faisal, chief frisky and geek, is on holidays in Dubai and somehow the friskyCronjob (that is automatically transferring data from friskyFTP to friskyStreamingServer) denied to do his job. Now problem #2 appeared: A PROPER INTERNET CONNECTION FOR THE CHIEF IN DUBAI!
With extraordinary work (and lots of being fucked up) he got it managed!
Facts tho:
LIGHTWORKS will start approx. 1 hour later than scheduled. ON TIME!
I suggested to add Fady Ferraye’s show GOOSEBUMPED between the LIGHTWORKS sets, meaning: GOOSEBUMPED will air after the first part of LIGHTWORKS.
I know that you - fellow LIGHTWORKS and friskyRadio fans - would suggest the same. So, big thanks and standing ovations to Faisal and to you for all your understanding!
Wer oben auf die abgeänderte Werbung für LIGHTWORKS schaut, wird vielleicht verstehen, was ich mit der Headline meine. Ab sofort kicke ich jeden aus der Show, der nicht spätestens 1 Woche vor der Show seinen Kram rübergeschickt hat, ganz konsequent. Ich hab die Schnauze voll. Besonders von Leuten, die monate- oder wochenlang Zeit haben und es dann immer noch nicht auf die Reihe kriegen.
Ich bekomme täglich Anfragen von Leuten, die in LIGHTWORKS spielen möchten. Und genau die bekommen eine Chance.
Schluß. Ende. Aus. Mit denen, die ein bißchen Zuverlässigkeit nicht für nötig halten. Dann kann ich die 8 Stunden auch alleine spielen, kein Problem.

I receive emails more and more from people who say something like “please, send me a CD with your mix, I will pay ANY money for it!!”. This is really not necessary. If you want to send me money then buy my music on Beatport, iTunes, audiojelly (or many other stores) or in the L2MusicStore (which is the best).
i know its gonna sound like im posting here only because you posted about my show… but this couldnt be more honest and true… and the way the situation presents itself, shows it
i left frisky on my room’s pc and went to sleep… was taking a nice nap after a killer exam i had this morning.. when i went to bed, fede monachesi’s AOW was on….
now a while before, i was half asleep - half awake and was listening to some crazy ass incredibly beautifull music and my mind was wondering… i couldnt get ahold of myself yet enough to understand where this music was coming from, i was thinking “my GOD, i should play this next saturday… do i have all this tunes? are they mine??”… until my brain understood it was frisky that i had left before i went to bed… and i simply had to get up and come see who the fuck was playing this stuff!!
to my great surprise.. it was mister vogelmann, so i had to post what had just happened and here i am…
sorry for making it a long story but this music actually made my day, and i should make it clear that i never listen to other djs sets because im usually simply not interested in what any djs play…
I see that Frontline on PBS this week has a documentary called “Bush’s War.” That’s what I’ve been calling it for a long time. It’s not the “Iraq War.” Iraq did nothing. Iraq didn’t plan 9/11. It didn’t have weapons of mass destruction. It DID have movie theaters and bars and women wearing what they wanted and a significant Christian population and one of the few Arab capitals with an open synagogue.But that’s all gone now. Show a movie and you’ll be shot in the head. Over a hundred women have been randomly executed for not wearing a scarf. I’m happy, as a blessed American, that I had a hand in all this. I just paid my taxes, so that means I helped to pay for this freedom we’ve brought to Baghdad. So? Will GOD bless me?God bless all of you in this Easter Week as we begin the 6th year of Bush’s War.

Kleiner Nachtrag
Auf die Google Ads und Amazon Links habe ich wenig Einfluss. Gott wird es mir nachsehen, wenn es dazu dient, meine materielle Existenz zu unterstützen. Er ist ein reiner Kumpel.
Ich werde seit gefühlten 350 Jahrhunderten immer wieder gefragt, nein, gebeten, doch endlich zur WMC zu kommen. Zuletzt war ich 2005 mit meinem Freund Faisal in Miami verabredet und konnte dann doch nicht kommen. Auch dieses Jahr schaffe ich das wieder nicht, die Messe beginnt am 27. Februar. Natürlich findet auch eine ‘Get frisky!’ Party statt. Das ärgert mich am meisten, also nicht, daß sie stattfindet sondern, daß ich nicht dabei bin. Natürlich auch als DJ.
Der ‘Sehen und gesehen werden’-Faktor geht mir an der WMC am allermeisten am Arsch vorbei. Leider ist das der Grund, wieso die halbe Dance Music Industry dort erscheint. Wer da ist, ist wichtig, egal, ob er eine Note lesen kann oder nicht. Dort entscheidet mehr die Marke der Sonnebrille und wer den besten Koks spendiert.
Ich würde einfach gerne ein paar wirkliche Freunde treffen, von denen ich weiß, daß sie dort sind. Das Paradoxe daran: Ich, so als Deutscher, habe noch einen der grössten Vorteile, wenn ich dort bin - meine Cousine wohnt in Fort Lauderdale. Hotels sind zu der Zeit in Miami weitestgehend ausgebucht, zumindest in der Nähe der WMC. Ich könnte von meiner Cousine aus bis zur WMC spucken. Außerdem würde ich mich sehr freuen, einen Teil meiner Familie (sie hat auch einen Sohn, den ich zuletzt als Kleinkind gesehen habe, jetzt ist der 12, oder so) wiederzusehen. Wenn sie in Deutschland ist, verpassen wir uns auch irgendwie immer. Zum Heulen.
Und ganz klar: Die floridianische Sonne würde mir auch ganz gut gefallen, besonders, wo wir doch im Februar in Deutschland auch immer so ein tolles, sonniges Wetter haben. Miami Beach und so.

I work hard for my loyal fans and for my friends @ friskyRadio, and this shows are EXCLUSIVELY for my home base radio station where I’m a resident DJ and show host. After the shows I offer the shows for download @ the L2PODIO which is ONLY for the people to listen to it @ work, in the car and on their home hifi. IT IS NOT FOR BROADCASTING ON ANOTHER RADIO STATION.
I have no idea why it’s always that South American assholes disrespecting the work of artists. Go and find your own DJ’s and produce your own shows, WTF!!!?? I will now spread this around the net.
