In my own wordsThe dude above is me, Ingo Vogelmann. I'm a DJ, music producer and composer (and some other invented professions). I rather tell you a bit of who I think I am before you get to read my artist biography below. I think I was born to create and play music, this is what I do every day. And I love doing this as it loves being done by me. When I make music I feel like fish in the water, you know what I mean. I love every kind of music, as long as it's coming from the heart. At my gigs I mostly play what people call Progressive & Tech House and Chillout/Ambient, but I don't give much on genres. Good music is good music, I play what's good and fits. Period. This is why I produce any kind of music. Dance music just wouldn't be enough (for me). I'm a father to two and a dog (the legendary Wilma). Photography is something I'd like to become better at, and I'm a Web 2.0 geek who is convinced about the idea that the internet makes the world a better place. And music, of course. I love travelling (not only for gigs), foreign cultures, history, art, geeky science stuff, awesome food and nature. And I'd love to have more time for all this. Music first, always. I'm a loner who enjoys the company of loners, and I can't find anything wrong in that. I dislike uninvited guests and unwanted calls. Being alone is peace. I'm gifted with many talents -- thank God -- and decided to make a living from that one day. It was a wise decision (of very few others). Discomfitures and the love and support of my fans made me who I am today. I don't have real goals, they make you stop when you reached one. I keep on making steps. It's not where you take things from -- it's where you take them to. I'm a show host with 2 shows at friskyRadio, a friskyRecords recording artist, own a label myself (L2 Music) and I'm resident DJ for Stylecharts.de at Rheingold, Düsseldorf (Germany), "PrivateMonkey" in Düsseldorf and at Club 3Klang in Essen (Germany). For the future of music business I believe in a "free giving & taking" on a "pay as much as you want" basis. I'm working on that. Watch out ... Have a nice stay here!
I'm writing the "Two Wolves" blog. Check it out once in a while. You can subscribe to its feed here.
Ingo - born an raised in the early 70’s
in Germany’s famous Ruhr Area was
introduced into making music by his
brother in the early age of seven,
inspired by the progressive Rock and
first-step electronic music of this time.
Thereby he got in touch with several
instruments but he was mostly
fascinated by playing the drums, which
he was than classical educated in. In the following years he easily became more and more familar with the way in which professional electronic studio production works. In 1993 his first dance music production found its successful way into the clubs. With his feeling for rhythm and knowledge about how music floats and works on people, he also turned out to be a talented DJ. He has put the needle on vinyl in some of Europe’s famous clubs, always driving the crowd crazy with strong and deep sets. Nowadays Ingo spins regularly on the most successful radio station on the internet -- friskyRadio -- with his own shows LIGHTWORKS and TIME OUT. Plus, he still serves international clubs with his breathtaking epically long sets as a demanded Progressive House, Tech House, Deep House or even Ambient/Chillout DJ. Ingo has established himself as one of the most influential figures in the field of progressive dance music over the recent years as both a DJ, and a producer. In his gigs, he is blurring the line between DJing and live performance engineering for a more full-featured club experience more akin to a concert than a standard night out at a dance club. On-the-fly remixes and compositions are just some of the capabilities of this new performance method. Ingo currently resides in Western Germany’s Ruhr Area - very countryside, near his birthplace. He spends an inordinate amount of time in his studio to work on his countless projects when he‘s not touring. This man has just cracked the surface of his love for music and it can only lead him - and those who are fortunate enough to hear his work - to higher places … by Josh Abrams & Bernhard Wöstheinrich

I'm not a salesman and actually hate selling things. I'm an independant artist who has to face a lot of challenges to keep his independancy, and not becoming a whore for anyone else. I'm not complaining, it is and always was my individual choice. I don't regret that to date. I believe in the best of human individuals: Their heart. And in a "free giving & taking on a pay as much as you want" basis for all cultural things. So, I give away a lot of free stuff that costs me a lot of important time and also money. I love it when I can GIVE YOU something FOR FREE. I also love it when I RECEIVE something you want to GIVE me, unconditionally. Please, consider donating a few bucks, just as much as you like and just like I throw out free stuff the way I like. Thank you from the depth of my heart. Even for the smallest amount. :-)

The Complete GOD Quadrology - FOR FREE!Done from 2006 to 2008. 4 chapters, 4 hours of music, concept mixed. I think I can never do it again. Ah ... no, I won't make a 5.1 mix of it. ;-) Some say this is an unreachable masterpiece, some use for testing their HiFi-Systems (extremely low and sober basses), some say it's crap, some say it's the best 4 hours of music they have ever heard. I say it's just something I have done, because I had to do it. I have no idea what it really is or has become. Click the cover artwork to download the complete God quadrology as 320 kbps MP3 package (561 MB *.ZIP file), including *.m3u playlist. Click here to download the full high-res and prinbable PDF artwork. All free, yes. Share it, spread it, but please don't sell it or steal sounds. Thank you, have fun with it!

A discography is a very time consuming thing to maintain. All in all there are like 7 albums and over 120 singles -- not mentioning remixes and whatnot -- I had (and partly still have) to prepare and upload ... please, forgive me when this is not 100% complete. I do my very best.
