POD.. what? Easy folks. We talk about a normal Podcast. The L2 PODIO (PODcastradIO) is - on one hand - a podcast but also works well as an on-demand radio station, if you like. You can listen to and/or download the latest recorded live gigs or DJ Sets by Ingo Vogelmann and other L2 Music artists. This depends on wether you listen to it in your feed reader or aggregator (like iTunes) or download it directly to your HD.
What is a podcast? A podcast is a media file that is distributed by subscription (paid or unpaid) over the Internet using syndication feeds, for playback on mobile devices and personal computers. Like 'radio', it can mean both the content and the method of syndication. The latter may also be termed podcasting. The host or author of a podcast is often called a podcaster. Though podcasters' web sites may also offer direct download or streaming of their content, a podcast is distinguished from other digital audio formats by its ability to be downloaded automatically, using software capable of reading feed formats such as RSS or Atom. Any feed aggregator available is able to read the PODIO's RSS file on the server. There are numerous, so we leave it up to you which one you choose. Your iTunes (if available) does it well :o) ... or check the next step:
You can find the current PODIO content below (so you might want to forget the RSS Reader/Aggregator ... this list is ALWAYS up-to-date!) and you can directly download every episode in the list below by clicking it. IMPORTANT NOTE BEFORE YOU DOWNLOAD PODIOS! Most of these DJ sets have been recorded for broadcasting on radio stations, especially for friskyRadio.
