… I really think that I’m better when playing live than mixing all alone in the studio. Seems like audience response gives me a burst or something.
What do you think?
This is the official website of the musician, sound engineer, DJ, composer & producer for film & media Ingo Vogelmann. No MySpace, Fuckbook or whatever ... this is a real real deal.
You heard Ingo's own music somewhere or as a DJ live or on the radio and loved it? You should subscribe to the vogelmann Gigs Feed by either ...

Below this welcome message and the (very important) ads you find Ingo's (multilangual) Blog posts. Also explore the internal pages and (masses of) good stuff in the sidebars to the right and have a nice stay!

I think you have to see the difference between a live set and a studio set:
When you play live you use the mixer for special effects (I don’t know the technical terms in detail). Fx. you turn off the bass or the volume and things like this. This makes a live set special. Furthermore is there a totally different feeling playing live, I guess, because of the club, the people and what ever.
Making a studio set is influenced by a lot of facts, which you can forget while playing a live set. Maybe there is the difference? Even for a professional like you, going out and playing is not the same than playing at home.
But anyway, your sets are both Vogelmann. And people with a feeling for music will realise and regcognise this.
