A little bit of advertising ...
I like to start between 123 and 126 BPM for the first 2 or 3 hours, followed by an hour or 2 of 126 to 127. The rest ist from 128 to 130.
After the first 2 hours my sets begins to come to a special life. Energy is growing, the tunes get deeper and deeper. I really think 2 hour sets NEVER show what a DJ and his selection of music is able of and doesn’t give the crowds an opportunity to grow with the music to make every show an unforgettable happening!
I also love to play long tracks in long sets. Long tracks have the same effect as long sets. They build up slowly and unfold their energy slowly to an “orgasmic” point. Further on I ALWAYS mix looong crossfades. Very often I mix crossfades of 80 or 96 bars, all to give a set the maximum flow, as if the DJ set is ONE big track.
And I ALWAYS keymix! Keymixing is essential!!
