I already mentioned here or there, I’m working a new progressive dance tune at the moment. The working title is “Into The East”.
I guess I will finish it by the coming week and begin the promotion and caring about remixes then. I think I will make it an open remix thingy like with the 2 tunes before.
This concept seems to work very good IMO! (Ah yes, I know I have to take care about the release of this last 2 tracks including remixes … will do soon!)
“Into The East” is very progressive, kind of minimal (for an IV tune), deep, dark but beautiful, floaty, mid-tempo, lovely ethno vocals (!), punchy kick, tribals and bassline, nice sound fx here and there, atmospheric textures and pads playing around, tight leads … just a perfect progressive tune for me at the moment. And of course it’s a long track.
I dunno the exact duration now, we’ll see … I think I’ll make different mixes with different lengths. The original mix is a very good template for a breaks mix as well!
Concerning the remix parts I will only upload the most significant sound elements but no drums. And the parts will be totally “dry” (no effects behind).
Be prepared! This tune already IS ROCKING like hell! I do not accept any other chart positions as #1’s everywhere.
Used tools: Reason 3.04, celemony Melodyne 3 (vocal treatment), I use Melodyne as host rewired with Reason.
Tip: The new Flatpack 2 Refill is AWESOME! And no SO expensive (50 British Bucks). Give it a go! Outstanding Combinator patches and sounds directly from heaven.
Flatpack 2 is entirely self contained, but the modules can also be used to add new life and possibilities to the instruments, samples, and kits in the original FP1. For example, we have 3 band Rex Dex players for playing FP1’s Hi/Mid/Lo categorised loops. If you’re new to Reason or to the work of Flatpack Productions Limited, feel free to download some freebie demos from our site.
